I could talk about knitting all day.
I have a miniature schnauzer (Theo) and an arabian/quarter horse (Ollie) who I treat like my kids.
I’m a full-time instructor at a local university. Teaching is my calling.
My Story
I fell in love with knitting in January 2024 and started a knitting YouTube channel in December the same year. Knitting has kept me sain, made me crazy, and brought me more joy and comfort than I could have ever imagined.
I’ve always wanted to have a crafty hobby, but none of them ever stuck. Sewing is cool but I don’t want to do it a lot. Painting (specifically watercolor) makes me irrationally angry, so that was out. Every craft I tried was fun (other than painting) but didn’t stick with me.
Then one day I decided to try knitting. Instead of spending a lot of money on a possible new hobby like I normally do, I went to Goodwill. They had yarn, which I bought. They did not have knitting needles, so I took a set of wooden chopsticks and filed the ends into dull points.
With those two items, I knitted half a scarf and fell in love. I finally invested in actually knitting needles and never looked back.
Less than a year later, I decided to start a knitting YouTube channel, and I’m so glad I did!
