Originally finished December 14, 2024. I removed the bind off and lengthened the hem on June 29, 2025 to fit Mom’s specifications. The Serien Sweater by Caidree is a top-down turtleneck sweater with raglan construction. The entire sweater is knit in stockinette, which allows the neck, cuffs, and hem to roll.
I knitted this sweater in EddieBauer Wool-Paca (80% extra fine merino superwash, 20% alpaca – DK weight) in the color Off White.

This is the first sweater I ever knitted, so it will always hold a special place in my heart. I learned a TON when knitting this sweater, including increasing, decreasing, short row wrap-and-turns, and general raglan construction. The final product is beautiful.
Unfortunately for me (but lucky for Mom), I realized after I knitted this sweater that the design of the sweater isn’t my style. While I think it is a beautiful sweater, I am more of a cropped sweater with balloon sleeves kind of gal. The Serein Sweater is about as far away from that style as you can get. I gifted it to Mom sometime in the spring and then lengthened the hem for her in the summer. She loves it, and that makes me super happy.
Since I didn’t wear this sweater often and was very new to this YouTube business, I didn’t take many photos of this sweater. I am going to get more photos of it soon, but for now, please enjoy this low-quality screenshot. If you want to see the sweater in action, I talk about it in-depth during this podcast episode.
