Finished July 17, 2025. I LOVE this tee. I have finished 3 knitting tops at this point, and this is the best one yet. It fits me exactly how I envisioned it. I’m so proud of this sweater. I love it so much that I am already knitting another one!
The Gulf Side Tee is a somewhat self-drafted, top-down, raglan tee. I used KxC (Knit and Crochet) Essential 100% cotton yarn and 5mm circular needles to knit this tee. The ribbing was knit using 4mm needles.

I based the neckline and short row shaping off of PetiteKnit’s Monday Sweater Junior pattern. The rest of the sweater is self-drafted.
The 1×1 rib collar is folded over while the ribbing at the sleeves and hem is not folded over. All the ribbing sections measure roughly 3/4 inch. The raglan increases were created by knitting through the front and back instead of MIL and MIR. I did decreases on the body roughly every 11th row. Italian bind off was used to finish the tee.
I intentionally made the armpits of this sweater long. I sweat a lot, so I wanted to make sure the arpit of the shirt were nowhere near my armpit. The downside to this is the sweater lifts when I lift my arms, but I’m okay with that. I’d rather show a little stomach than have huge pit stains!
